The Smart Automatic Water Level Controller – Bore-to-Tank Model is an advanced pump automation system designed to automatically transfer water from borewell to overhead tanks while ensuring safe and efficient motor operation.

The system continuously monitors tank water levels and automatically starts or stops the pump as required. It also incorporates intelligent dry-run protection, water flow verification, power recovery delay protection, and manual override controls, ensuring reliable and long-term pump protection.

Designed using industrial-grade components, electrical isolation safety architecture, and corrosion-resistant sensors, the controller delivers dependable performance for homes, apartments, commercial buildings, and agricultural water systems.

Key Features

Automatic Pump Operation

The controller automatically maintains the required water level in the overhead tank.

  • Motor starts automatically when tank level falls below 50%
    • Motor stops automatically when tank reaches 100%
    • Ensures continuous water availability without manual monitoring

4-Level Tank Monitoring

The controller displays tank water levels clearly using four indicators.

25% Low Level
50% Half Level
75% High Level
100% Tank Full

This allows users to easily monitor tank water levels from the controller panel.

Intelligent Dry Run Protection

To protect the motor from dry running, the system verifies whether water is actually reaching the tank.

After the motor starts:

  • The controller checks for water flow to the tank
    • If water is detected → Motor continues normal operation
    • If water is not detected within 1 minute, the controller automatically:
  • Stops the motor
    • Turns OFF the motor running indicator
    • Activates Dry Run Warning LED
    • Generates alert beep every 10 seconds

This protects the pump from damage caused by dry running.

Water Flow Indication

During pumping operation, the controller provides visual water flow indication confirming that water is successfully reaching the tank.

Motor Running LED Animation

When the pump is operating, rotating LED indicators around the motor symbol provide a clear visual confirmation of motor operation.

Power Recovery Protection

When power supply returns after a power failure:

  • The controller provides a 2-second power recovery beep
    • If tank level is below 50%, the controller waits 1 minute before starting the motor

This delay ensures that the power supply is stable and protects the motor from voltage fluctuations.

Manual Tank Filling (NEED Button)

If the tank level is above 50% but the user wants to fill the tank manually:

  • Press the NEED Button
    • The motor starts immediately
    • The motor automatically stops when the tank reaches 100%
